Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
Yes! It was an experience I will always cherish. Those kids will always have a piece of my heart.

The room was spacious and the meals were always delicious.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
I just can’t pick a favorite moment during volunteering, it was all so great. My favorite part outside of the volunteering was definitely the trip to Taj Mahal.

Yes, of course! This is a great organization.

The staff was very helpful! They were always available to answer all my questions and help me with directions.

The pre departure booklet was good and informative and I got all my questions answered to satisfaction.
Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
Working at my project was life changing. All the children have become a big part of me and I will never forget all the wonderful moments, I have had with them.
How was your meals and accommodation?
Accommodation and meals lived up to my expectations, was glad for the privacy and for the healthy food.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
Walking into the orphanage and seeing 50 smiling faces, yelling "didi" and greeting me with hugs and kisses.
Would you recommend this program and our organization to others?
Yes, especially people that have never volunteered before.

Coordinator and staff has been amazing especially local staff did a great job. Yogen had a connection with the children, I have rarely seen and the ability to make the volunteers feel comfortable and welcome.

How did you find the Pre Departure Booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare?
Yes, it was useful to prepare for my visit regarding etiquetter and conduct with locals as well as providing some useful Hindi words for my visit. It was also useful to show family who felt apprehensive about my visit to India. The information also helped to put my mind at ease.
Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
Yes. I loved working with the street children. I succeeded in making them smile, but they too make me smile. I wish there was more I could have done for them if not only giving them fond memories and a feeling of worth.
How was your meals and accommodation?
Accommodation was satisfactory. Dorms were kept very clean and volunteer house is in a safe but central location which is ideal. Food was always nutritious and well balanced and it was good to eat some traditional Indian food.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
The highlight for me was working with the street children, they were always so pleased to see us and spent their afternoons competing for our attention. The orientation week was also good as we got to see many of the attractions in Delhi as well as learning about a new culture.
Would you recommend this program and our organization to others?
Yes, I would recommend this program as it is user friendly and becasue the staff are very helpful which helps to put you at ease in a foreign country.
What you have to say about Coordinator/Staff?
I felt like I learned a lot about India from Rajiv as he would often discuss various topics with us. Staff were very helpful. Rajiv and Priya made me feel very welcome and were always more than obliging with any queries we had. Dheeraj and Yogen were also very friendly and liked to share their stories about their country whenever possible. This added to my experience.

What areas did you like about our website?
Loved the photos. Links to the surrounding areas and YouTube video’s of the volunteer house.

Excellent! They answered all my emails promptly. They also called me personally which was great. It made me feel secure and well taken care of and that the coordinators were professional and the organization respected.
Language and Cultural Orientation Week
Lots of fun. Very informative. The culture was explained very well. It was nice to get information about the various monuments and markets (and prices) before we went to visit them.
How was your experience visiting the different historical sites and places of interest in Delhi?
Our days out were packed full of sights, sounds and history. Such a vast city where all religions and cultures live side by side. Akshardham temple was my favorite. Another highlight was a visit to the orphanage.
Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
Yes, I got to know the children and grew fond of them. I hope I made a difference in their lives. They probably won’t remember me but they will live on in my heart. I will miss them a lot and hope to return and visit one day.
How was your meals and accommodation?
Accommodation was great! Very clean – thank you. The people were very friendly. The chef was new and did not know what we liked but once he found out, he served delicious food with lots of variety, well done!
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
The highlight was getting to interact with the children at the daycare. It was a very humbling experience and I got a lot out of it.
Would you recommend this program and our organization to others?
Yes, I would like to open a volunteering program like this to help the children of South Africa and will look at possibly being affiliated with your organization.

very interesting and enjoyable. Best part of the week was visiting the sited in Delhi.
Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
Very much. I got to work one to one with one child at the school to help them progress. All the children were fun to be around.
How was your meals and accommodation?
Accommodation was nice, lots of space and comfortable rooms. Food was good, it was nice to have home cooked Indian food.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
Meeting the children at the school and getting to know them. Also, living in rural India, with the amazing scenery and the trekking trips in McLeodganj was another highlight.

I really loved it, was a great challenge because I worked with street children who had any kind problem. The staff was helpful and I had a great lesson of humility, patience, adaption, spirit and love are watch words.

Accommodation was quite comfortable and meals were good, especially when priya cooked.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
Meet and know the staff at my project and what they do. Have been to the station to convince some street children to reach our placement. Taj Mahal, Varanasi and Jaipur. Ride an Elephant. Tasty Masala Dosa and many more.

The pre departure guide was very helpful and precise. Every answer was full of information and quickly answered. I decided to come here with Volunteering India also because the website was detailed.
Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
These 6 weeks with project have been very special. At the beginning it was a bit hard for me but after 2 weeks I started to understand the kids and also view word in Hindi. I will never forget this experience with them. You can do small kids for them every day for kids, for them also one smile is enough.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
The best moment every day was when I and Barbara arrived at our placement. The kids were very happy to see us. I will never forget their eyes, the smile and Good Morning Didi. :)

Perfect. The coordinator of the program was waiting for me outside. He was very kind and helpful.
Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
The kids and the staff at the orphanage made me feel at home. I received lot of love and attention from everyone and was treated very well. Helping the kids out with their homework and playing with them was a lovely and memorable experience. I will remember being a teacher for them forever.

The meals were very good and very health and tasty. Everybody made me feel very comfortable.

How did you find the Pre departure information booklet given to you as well as the service of staff prior to your arrival?
Claire - It was very helpful and informative.It told me exactly what to expect in regards to basic manners, customs, weather and what to bring.
William - The information was very helpful in our preparations for our trip.
Did you enjoy working at your project?
Claire - I did. I thought it was very rewarding.I think the children ended up teaching me more than I taught them.
William - The project and placement were wonderful.It was a privilege to work at the project with the students.

Claire - The accommodation and meals were great. Better than a Hotel !
William - The accommodations and meals were fantastic.Coming home to a home cooked meal everyday is always something to look forward to.
What was the highlight of your volunteering experience and the trip as a whole ?
Claire : The highlight sightseeing wise was the Taj Mahal trip.I think the last day of volunteering was pretty special.Also the kids told us how much they learnt and how much they would miss us.
William : The guided sightseeing was amazing but the real highlight of our experience was the students themselves.

We feel that the longer you volunteer, the better it is for the placement.We were here only for three weeks but felt that we could have stayed for three months.

The booklet was very informative and concise. The staff was always helpful when needed.
Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
Yes! Our project was great, the school was nice and working with the kids was amazing. Would definitely recommend to someone who enjoys dealing with young kids.
How were your meals and accommodation?
Very good accommodation. Facilities are clean, bathroom is very good. Overall meals are ok. Really enjoyed my stay at the accommodation. Comfortable, cozy, Roof top is great.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
Regarding tourist thing, the highlight were Taj Mahal and night spent at the Himalayas. The volunteer work itself was the highlight of my trip. I am very pleased with the adventure.

Yes, the program was perfect. It was above my expectations. The organization is very professional, well prepared, helpful, and friendly. I would recommend them for sure.

Both the placement information sheer and the booklet were really good and answered most of the questions that I had. All the questions were kindly answered through email. The staff was really helpful too.

The accommodation was perfect. We had everything that we need. The meals were pretty good as well.

Interacting with the kids and experiencing more about the local life were the best. The trekking to the Himalayas was another highlight of this unique experience.
