The way it was structured, very informative.

Couldn’t be better, had everything that we needed to know.
Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
LOVED IT! The kids were great and the teachers also. However, I would recommend making it compulsory for us to just watch what the teachers do for one day to know kind of things that are necessary.
How were your meals and accommodation?
Was superb! Charan was a great cook and the accommodation couldn’t be better.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
The children of course! Also loved the trip to Amritsar, one of the best places I have been to thus far.
Would you recommend this program and our organization to others?
YES!!

I think the whole website is great because ir provides a lot of information.

Very useful in the way of early answers to any of our request. Information provided always helped us to solve any problems or doubt.
Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
Yes, I did. It has been a great experience to spend the time with each of the kids we have had at the Kindergarten.
How was your meals and accommodation?
It has been okay, the meals have been very good.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
How people can really live with very little and always smile.
Would you recommend this program and our organization to others?

The pre-departure booklet was very useful in providing me with the information I needed before I left. Saurabh was very helpful in answering any questions I had and always replied to my emails quickly.
Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
I very much enjoyed my placement at Janghat. Working with the children was such an amazing and rewarding experience and they definately had a large impact on me.
How was your meals and accommodation?
Rajiv and Priya were very accommodating and the meals were great. I very much appreciate them accommodating me in their home.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
The highlight of my experience was working at Janghat and interacting with the children.
Would you recommend this program and our organization to others?
Yes.
What you have to say about Coordinator/Staff?
Rajiv, Yogen and Dheeraj were all very helpful whenever I needed anything or had any questions. I really appreciated Dheeraj picking me up from the hotel as I was staying at another part of Delhi.

Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
We really enjoy with the kids and we are very greatful with the kindness of the staff.
How was your meals and accommodation?
The accommodation was very comfortable and clean. my bedroom had many facilities like AC, Internet etc. where by it is very important for me. Meals were well cooked and healthy.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
My best memories are the possiblity of sharing this time with people from other countries, to know the amazing Indian culture and the difficult lifestyle in slums. In regards with my trips, the spirituality if Varanasi.
Would you recommend this program and our organization to others?
Yes, I absolutely recommned this experience because the organization is good.
What you have to say about Coordinator/Staff?
The staff in the placement and in the lodge very were very kind and patient with the necessities and difference of the volunteers. I learnt a lot about Indian culture.

The booklet was very helpful. If I would have not received the booklet the trip would have been more difficult.
Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
Yes, the kids were really cute and grateful. It was nice to see them smile each day.
How was your meals and accommodation?
Accommodation was comfortable. I was thankful for air conditioning. The meals were good and not too spicy.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
Being able to work and live right in the culture of India. I thought that it was an amazing way to do this trip.
Would you recommend this program and our organization to others?
Yes.
What you have to say about Coordinator/Staff?
Everyone in the house has been very nice and welcoming. Yogen was helpful in giving us suggestions and bring us to our placement on the first day. Dheeraj was there waiting at the airport.

Overall, good experience! Rajiv and Priya made me feel very welcomed and at home!

How did you find the Pre Departure Booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare?
The booklet was very detailed and insightful. Responses were prompt.
Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
I really enjoyed the placement I was given. The atmosphere made it difficult to teach English in a whole class setting, but the children were all very enthusiastic to learn in smaller groups.
How was your meals and accommodation?
Accommodation was excellent and melas were good.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
My highlight was meeting a variety of people from other countries, as well as locals from India, and working and living closely with them.

How did you find the Pre Departure Booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare?
I found the booklet very useful and informative. The service of the staff was excellent and any questions I needed answered within 24 hours.
Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
Yes, I enjoyed working with the children at the shelter. They are truly inspirational children. If I could stay with them forever then I would.
How was your meals and accommodation?
The accommodation was comfortable, homely and the meals were excellent.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
Picking one highlight is difficult. I think every moment spent with the children was a highlight especially when they were singing to yogen's guitar.
Would you recommend this program and our organization to others?
Yes, It was well organized and reasonably priced. Very good experience overall.
What you have to say about Coordinator/Staff?
The staff were all very helpful both before departure and during the trip. Rajiv told us of all the sights to see in Delhi.
Any comments and Suggestion you want to make.
The orientation week was very helpful to get to know your way around Delhi and learn more about Indian culture. It was interesting and informative.

What areas did you like about our website?
Videos of previous volunteers experiences information was very clear, easy to access.
How did you find the Pre Departure Booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare?
Very detailed information pack. Replies to e-mails were very quick and detailed.
How was your meals and accommodation?
Not a single bad comment, everything was great. House was lovely, Charan's cooked some delicious food too.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
Definitely some of the excursions. Trekking was great fun and Amritsar was definitely worth the visit. Loved all the other volunteers, we got on really well.
Would you recommend this program and our organization to others?
Yes, definitely! I would love to come back to volunteer at the day centre or teaching English project.

Overall a great experience, keep doing what you are doing!!

Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
Veronnik: - Yes! The director received us herself and explained our job, goals which help us start. The children were amazing.
Stephanie: - I loved it. The teachers were very welcoming and helpful. Moreover, the schedule is good. Ariel: - Children with disabilities were a wonderful fulfilling placement. Diksha: - YEAH!! : ) I really loved working with these special kids. They are adorable and I was very sad to leave them alone. Damini is doing a great job and I admire for what she does for these kids. It was a wonderfully amazing and marvelous experience. Tarik: - Working at the summer school was quite the challenge. The joy that came from hearing the children’s laughter was motivating. How was your meals and accommodation?
Veronnik: - PERFECT! Meals amazing!
Stephanie: - The accommodation was perfect to me. I got used to it very easily and I end up feeling like home in it. As for the meals they were also satisfying. Ariel: - Accommodation was comfortable and meals were good. Diksha: - Green Acres is a really good place to live in. We have all we need and the food is REALLY DELICIOUS. I am very happy with what Green Acres offered me and the staff is really sweet and kind too. Tarik: - I love Indian food!! Accommodation exceeds my expectations. What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
Veronnik: - Manali and Trekking at Triund.
Stephanie: - The highlight of my volunteering was everyday when I saw and played with the kids. As for the trips, the trekking was absolutely my highlight. Ariel: - The drive up to Manali was breathtaking. Reaching the top of the mountain after trekking for 8 hours. Diksha: - I think the highest highlight of my volunteering experience is when my kid, Rohit, achieved his first goal and I was like Shabash! And he was really happy! I was so proud of us. The highlight of my trip would probably be when we trekked on Triund. The top of the mountain was just OUT OF THIS WORLD. Tarik: - I really enjoyed the trekking trip. Playing with kids was also great part of my trip. Would you recommend this program and our organization to others?
Veronnik: - Yes, coordinators take a great care of these volunteers! You feel like home with them. The placements were great.
Stephanie: - Yes, because I had an amazing experience with this organization and I was actually thinking about going in another country with Volunteering Solutions. Ariel: - Yes, well organized, fun and safe. Diksha: - Yes, I would totally recommend this program and this organization to anyone who is willing a life exchanging experience. I had so much fun and I learned how to appreciate my life more and be less materialistic. Tarik: - Yes, I would because it is a worthwhile experience that I found to be very fruitful for India as well as for youself. What you have to say about Coordinator/Staff?

Ariel: - Amit and Bobby took good care of everyone. They are kind, responsible and have a solution to everything. Diksha: - Bobby and Amit are really amazing! They are always here to make sure we are okay and whenever we have a problem they fix it within 5 minutes. I felt like we were a big family and bobby and amit were like big brother or even fathers to us. Thank you for everything you did for us. I am going to miss you! How did you find the Pre Departure Booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare?
All the information I received and every questions I asked was of the highest order. Every reply from Volunteering India was prompt, helpful and informative. I could have asked no more.
Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 weeks placement. I got the opportunity to work at first hand with very under privileged children. I found the experience both challenging and rewarding.
How was your meals and accommodation?
The accommodation was perfect in a beautifully clean house in a great area of Delhi. The meals were beautiful and tasty.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
The people I met. From Rajiv and Priya as the most wonderful hosts to Yogen their ever friendly assistant and of course the children on the program. I also loved seeing Gandhi Smriti and Akshardham temple.
Would you recommend this program and our organization to others?
Absolutely yes, I would encourage anyone to do this program.
What you have to say about Coordinator/Staff?
I cannot speak highly enough of the professionalism and helpfulness of the staff. There was no problem too big or small. Their help plus guidance and particular Rajiv made my trip the amazing experience it was.

What areas did you like about our website?
Website was professional and instilled my confidence in the organization. Details of the programme are true to what I experienced.
How did you find the Pre Departure Booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare?
Pre departure booklet was very thorough and had plenty of information about the local area.
Correspondence by Email prior to departure was excellent. All of our (Many) questions were answered fully and travel arrangements to Palampur were all organized in advance of our arrival in Delhi.
Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
Overall I really enjoyed my time at the placement. Good variety of experience between the hospital and clinic.
How was your meals and accommodation?
Accommodation is in a great location for both getting to our placement and into town. The rooms when we arrived were kept tidy and a lockable cupboards is definitely a bonus. Meals were brilliant thanks to the chef :) ... and always included new and wonderful vegetables. Cups of tea whenever we wanted ... Perfect :)
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
The childrens camp was brilliant! We were allowed to go ahead and use the materials we had bought with us. Really appreciated being trusted to do some treatment too.Always a feeling of satisfaction once you get a tough tooth out. Just generally feeling, part of the community was really rewarding.
Would you recommend this program and our organization to others?
Yes, from a combination of working at both the hospital and the clinics, I feel I have really learnt a lot about dentistry. Also, even in 2 weeks I feel like I have really get a feel on life in Palampur. I will definitely recommend this program based not only on the center but also the amazing location.
What you have to say about Coordinator/Staff?
Bobby has been brilliant. Always concerned for the welfare of the volunteers and keen to meet their requests. He shows an interests in spending the time with people outside of the placmeent hours and has make these 2 weeks an unforgettable experience. Amit with his unique yet wonderful taste in western music! was also really good fun to be around on the trek. Thanks.. Monica too has been such a pleasure to walk work with. Really easy to chat to and ready to explain a precedure or provide assistance when needed.

What areas did you like about our website?
The website looked very professional. I liked how it was to nevigate through the website.
How did you find the Pre Departure Booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare?
The pre departure booklet was extreamly helpful - compared to friends working with other charities, We were provided with a lot more information than them.Saurabh was extreamly helpful of answering any questions.
Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
Yes! the work at the hospital and the clinic provide of a wide variety of experience. I also felt Palampur was perfect location, I have felt very safe and welcome by locals here. Both Bobby and Monica were a joy to work with. I feel I have leart so much from them.
How was your meals and accommodation?
The accommodation was perfect location and I have felt very safe here. There was always staff around to help with any queries. The hot showers were such a luxury. The meals were fantastic. Never disappointed.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
Children's camp organized by coordinator was a great success and really rewarding. We felt that he had gone out of his way to organize the camp and we were extreamly greatful. The trekking trip was also fantastic.
Would you recommend this program and our organization to others?
Yes, I feel the program is a great learning experience for me and I will be sad to leave.

Bobby was a brilliant coordinator. He went out of his way to go beyond his call of duty. He and Amit made the two weeks a memorable experience. Though Monica was not a coordinator, I think she should be mentioned here as she was a joy to work with as both a colleague and a friend

Any recommendations to improve the website?
Possibly to add past volunteer email addresses. Although they were sent to me once I requested them.
How did you find the Pre Departure Booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare?
The booklet is helpful for general info and placement information regarding India.
Did you enjoy working at your project/placement?
Working at the school was my favorite part of the experience. I had a great deal of responsibility and fulfilled a desperate need for additional teacher. The kids were wonderful.
How was your meals and accommodation?
The accommodations were exactly as I expected. I shared a room with 2 girls. The food was very good and did not cause anyone to get sick. If there were any concerns they were addressed by our coordinator once they were shared with them.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
Besides working at the school, I really enjoyed picking the tea leaves for 2 days. I also enjoyed speaking with bobby and his father about their way of life and how the tea garden runs.
Would you recommend this program and our organization to others?
Yes, I would recommend the program to anyone who is willing to volunteer in India and has a good understanding of what to expect.

Bobby and Amit were extremely kind and open to all of our questions and requests. they made the weekend trips very enjoyable.

I really appreciate how responsive Saurabh and Bobby were to my phone calls and emails prior to my coming.
