Pre Departure
Contact by email and then phoned the coordinator .Very helpful and informed me on how program will run.
Arrival/Airport Pickup
Pickup was smooth. Coordinator took us to family on first day and showed us the project site.
Placement/Volunteer Project
Street children project and Teaching English/Games to underprivileged children was a difficult task but very satisfying. Children were very keen to learn.
Home Stay /Host family and meals
Host family were very welcoming and helpful.

He was very helpful and gave me all the relevant information when required.

Pre Departure
All of my questions and concerns were answered before I came. I had very little problems communicating and felt very well cared for in the pre departure phase.
Arrival/Airport Pickup
I ended up having flight number and arrival time changed and we still managed to find each other with relative ease.
Placement
I felt the placement was a great match to the needs of the boys at the orphanage and I really had a great time.
Accommodation
Living right with the boys was a wonderful way to really get to know each other .The facilities were good.
Coordinator
He was very knowledgeable and easy to get to know .I did not have any major issues, but felt that he was present and available should I ever need him. He was really helpful and made me feel comfortable in India.

Did you enjoy working at your project?
As I am a trained nurse I got very involved with the vaccination program. I gained a lot of experience and really felt like I helped. The language barrier was a problem at first but if you use your imitative, this problem can be easily solved.
How was your meals and accommodation?
Priya's food is amazing! The whole family were lovely very welcoming and sweet. They looked after me very well and I feel very happy to call them my friends.
What you have to say about Coordinator/Staff?
Rajiv is very knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks to him and Dheeraj I never faced any issue or problem during my stay with Volunteering India.

I loved the kids that i worked with ! The staff was also helpful.Especially i would say the biggest challenge was the language barrier.
Home Stay /Host family and meals
Host family were very nice.Meals were great especially.The family was very kind to me and were generous enough to let myself and other volunteers participate in their families Diwali celebration.

He was very helpful and kind. I felt like i could talk to him.He answered any question that i asked.

How did you find the Pre Departure Booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare?
Great information, it was really very useful in helping me pack. It answered most of my questions. It was nice to know a little bit more about what you would be doing there.
Did you enjoy working at your project?
I loved working at the Children's Hospital. Dr. Nirdosh and all of the staff are incredible people - so Kind, Caring and Compassionate. I felt that we both larened a lot from each other. I would love to return in the near future. I reallt felt Valued.
How was your meals and accommodation?
The house is fantastic! such a beautiful place to stay - so peaceful and quiet. Bobby- your family is so welcoming. Thank you! I appreciated having a Volunteers kitchen, bathroom and internet. I was very comfortable and the food was amazing.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
I absolutely loved working at the Hospital. I also really enjoyed the trip to Mcleodganj. All of Palampur is great. I can't wait to return to this area.

Yes, Most Definitely! I can't say enough good about this experience.

What areas did you like about our website?
I took pleasure in the fact that the website was informative, simple to use and easy to understand. The feedback of other volunteers on the site was interesting.
How did you find the Pre Departure Booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare?
The service of the staff was excellent as they answered all of my question very quickly. I was very much impressed.
Did you enjoy working at your project?
I did enjoy it very much,particularly teaching at the Tea Garden.
How was your meals and accommodation?
Excellent, and Excellent. The place was very good .... and the neighborhood as well.
What was the highlight of your Volunteering experiences and your trip?
Playing cricket with three different groups of people, meeting other volunteers and also forming bods with the children at the daycare and tea garden.
Would you recommend this program and our organization to others?
Yes, for sure! The reasons for Volunteering in Palampur with Volunteering India varies between individuals, but there are always reason. And they are always substantial.
What you have to say about Coordinator/Staff?
Bobby was a great host and both he and Amit are very Competent coordinators. I was expecting a very dismissive medical type, but both of them are very Caring and easy to talk to. Thanks alot!

I was in contact with Office in India. They answered all the question I had and helped to find my lost payment bill :)
Would you like to share your experience about Airport Pickup?
My arrival was a bit stressful for me as the Airline lost my luggage but after I arrived in Delhi and was directly picked up from Rajiv's assistant (I didn't had to search him!!!), Rajiv helped me to get my Luggage back!
Did you enjoy working at your project?
AMAZING!!!
The women at the center are powerful and amazing. Sometime I don't feel like I am helping them than they are helping me with their everyday Smiling faces! sometime we just talk to the girls but even this helps them because so they can practice English in conversations.
How was your meals and accommodation?
The house is Great! I love the Bed, my room, the evenings with the other volunteers, the food [we got some cooking lessons from Didi :) ]

Lovely :)
Rajiv is taking care of us all the time. I got sick and he have done the best. I brought me to the Doctor and was asking me everyday How I am feeling!
He always asking about our trips ow how do we like our work. He tries to let us feel comfortable in this completely different world!!

Ofcourse! you can't get a better impression of India and its people!!!!

How was your experience with Volunteering India!
It was very wonderful, I had some great Time working with the kids. The information provided by Volunteering India was very helpful and I knew it since the beginning what I would be doing, where I will be working. SO I had the clear idea about my Trip. Volunteering India staff was very quick in responding to my queries, I had an amazing experience working with all of them. I am looking forward to work with them again in near future. Accommodation was very comfortable. Everyone is so caring and loving and made the stay comfortable and pleasant.

The children at the placement were fabulous. Overall the whole tip was an experience in itself for lifetime.

Charan is a great cook and Bobby's house was lovely and very comfortable!

My trip to Manali and working at the Orphanage.

I really enjoyed going to do rural immunizations in the morning. Everyone was very friendly, the coordinator was helpful and other workers showed us around very well.
How was your meals and accommodation?
Homestay was definitely a highlight! The family couldn't have been more fun or nicer. the food was very good. Many laughs and good times shared!
