Volunteers in this program work in a special school for Mentally challenged kids called as Bal Ashram. Our volunteers play a significant role by providing the children with the much needed attention, love and care.
Volunteer responsibilities include spending time with the children , working along with the existing staff at the school in teaching the children , assisting in daily chores and also arrange different activities for the children.
Volunteers working in Mentally Challenged Children program must have a special interest in working with affected children.Working with special needs children proves to be a very rewarding experience for the volunteers.
The school for special children’s is run by an N.G.O and the total strength of the school is around 35 mentally challenged children. The children are in the age group of 4-18 years.

Volunteers joining this program should have a special interest of working with special needs children. The minimum age requirement to join the project is 17 years. You need to have patience and love and affection for working with children.
Note : An Application Fee of only USD 150 / GBP 101 is required at the time of application. This would confirm your spot and would be refunded if we are not able to provide placement in India.
Program Cost and Start Date
Program start on every Monday of the month. You can also join the language and orientation week in Delhi prior to starting your volunteer / internship program. This program starts on every 1st and 3rd Monday and is highly recommended.
