The Volunteer and Travel program - INDIA

Volunteers arrive at New Delhi to start their journey and work with one of our volunteer programs of their choice for 2 weeks, after that you can choose to go where you like! We have 5 travel options within India, the details of which are as follows:

1 – Travel to Goa (3 nights – 4 days) – Volunteers fly* to Goa and check into a 3 star hotel along one of the best beaches in the world. You enjoy and take time at your leisure. The one destination where you can let your hair down, where there are no rules, International Volunteer Programs India

barring a few of course. Where the beaches are sun kissed dotted with loungers just like any other international destination; where good food and good booze are for the offing everywhere. Come to Goa a place like no other! After 3 days of unforgettable experience you fly back to Delhi and continue your journey back home.

2 - Travel Golden Triangle (3 nights – 4 days)* – Volunteers travel by road in a a/c vehicle, accompanied by a Guide to the famous Golden Triangle (Jaipur, Agra, Delhi). You will stay in a 3 star hotel while on the tour. You will visit some of the Volunteering In India most exotic palaces in Jaipur including: The Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar. You will also be exploring Jaipur’s famous Johary Bazar which is a shoppers paradise for hand crafted materials. After staying in Jaipur your next destination would be Agra, famous for it’s Taj Mahal and Agra fort. You will see Taj Mahal which is located on the banks of river Yamuna and is a symbol of love in Indian history. You will also see the Agra Fort. Continuing your journey you will come to Delhi. You will end your tour after seeing New Delhi. Tour includes visits to: Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Lotus Temple, Hyumaus Tomb, Qutab Minar, India Gate & Cannought Place.

3 – Travel to the Hills, Shimla (3 nights – 4 days) – Volunteers will start their journey from Delhi in an a/c car/coach accompanied by a tourist guide. You Volunteer Shimla will travel to Shimla, also known as the ‘Queen of Hills’ in India. The town is known for its heavenly climate, scented pines and rhododendron forests, green pastures and snowcapped peaks. This mother of all hill towns finds something to offer everyone—honeymooners, adventure enthusiasts, nature lovers, and those with a colonial hangover. You will be staying in a 3 star hotel while in Shimla. If you are traveling in winters come prepared as Shimla is usually covered with snow! Many small towns are close to Shimla, where you can see Yak’s, do skiing etc.

4 – Travel to Corbett National Park (2 nights – 3 days) – Volunteers will start their journey from Delhi in an a/c car/coach to go to Corbett National Volunteer Vacations Park, which is a delight for nature lovers. You will find great views from the start of the journey itself as you will drive past Ganga & Yamuna rivers. Corbett National Park has everything to offer, Tigers, lakes, rivers, streams, forests, birds and plenty of wildlife. Welcome to Tiger country! Once done you will drive back to Delhi having fond memories of this short trip in mind.

5 – Travel to Rishikesh – Yoga, Ayurveda & Rafting package (4 nights – 5 days) – Volunteers travel to Rishikesh by a/c car/coach starting their journey from New Delhi. Rishikesh, a most tranquil place in northern Uttar Pradesh, surrounded by Volunteer Health Care hills and bisected by the wide and sluggish Ganges, is often claimed as the `Yoga Capital of the World'. It is an excellent place to meditate and study yoga. Situated 24 km upstream from Haridwar, at the confluence of the Chandrabhaga and Ganga, Rishikesh has long been a spiritual centre. It is said that the sage Raibhya Rishi did severe penance here and as a reward, God appeared to him in the form of Hrishikesh, hence the name. Rishikesh has numerous ashrams, some of which are internationally recognized as centers of philosophical studies, yoga and meditation. For the adventurous, there are opportunities for white water rafting on the Ganga. The climate here is continental type but its location in the foot hills gives it a pleasant weather throughout the year. One can visit Rishikesh any time of the year.

Airport Receive/ Transfer: Our representative will greet you at the airport and will transfer you to your hotel/placement/home stay.

Orientation: A half day orientation will be provided by our staff. We cover areas like, culture, greetings, locations, transportation etc. Each participant will be provided with a local Map of the city.

Lodging: Almost all placements have residential accommodation arrangements, however if that is not available volunteers will be staying with a local welcoming and educated family.

Food: 2 Indian meals will be provided in this project.

Insurance: All participants are covered for full comprehensive travel and medical insurance for their time of stay in our project. Please find details here.

In – Country travel assistance: If participants like to travel around, we provide with full support for bookings & arrangements to travel with India or Nepal.

In-country support: 24 hours support provided by our local staff.

Pre-departure information: After we receive full and final payment all participants are provided by a pre-departure information booklet by e-mail which will have all vital information about your program.
