Amritsar is home to the Golden Temple, the holiest place in Sikhism and one of the most moving places in India. You travel by air-conditioned train from Delhi, see the temple by day and stay into the evening, when it is lit up over the water.
Day by day
- Day 1: the train from Delhi to Amritsar, where we meet you and take you to your hotel. Visit Jallianwala Bagh, the memorial garden, then the Golden Temple complex, staying on to see it illuminated after dark.
- Day 2: a free morning to wander the old city. Lunch at the hotel, then the afternoon train back to Delhi, where we take you to your accommodation.
