Medical Internship Program in Delhi is suitable for medical and pre-med students who are looking for a valuable work experience and international exposure. Under this program, students can gain insights about the health care system of India.

The Internship assignment takes place in a private hospital well equipped with modern medical facilities and highly experienced staff. The placement hospital is in a close proximity to some of the best areas and markets of the city. Interns are paired along with a doctor/nurse or medical professional during their time at the hospital.

The hospital cannot ethically allow individuals without the proper experience, education, and certifications to actively participate in medical procedures they are not able to conduct. Therefore, the internship is mostly observation based and each intern shall shadow, observe and do basic assistance work in the hospital during the period of the internship.

Note: Medical and pre-med students are eligible to take part in the Medical Internship program. All Interns need to provide a copy of their CV/ Resume as well as a proof of their enrollment in Medical/Nursing School. Interns can also bring mouth masks and lab coat/ scrubs with them.

Here's the list of departments where the interns can work:

  • Emergency
  • IPD Ward
  • Laboratory
  • Blood Bank
  • Pharmacy
  • Radiology/Imaging
  • OT
  • Dialysis Unit
  • Critical Care

  • Orthopedic
  • Nursing
  • Obstetrics and Gynaecology

The participants need to give a preference of 3-4 departments in which they would like to work. Depending on their period of internship, the interns shall be able to work on the rotation basis.

Do not worry, all the coordinators can speak and converse in English. Most of our participants are non-Hindi speakers and they’ve never had any problems while communicating. Like we say, love is expressed better through actions than the language.

To add to the project experience, you can also join the Language and Orientation Week in Delhi before beginning the program. It's an optional week, besides that we recommend participants to brush up their Hindi skills (learn basic terms and phrases, greetings) before traveling.
